Stacy and I spent a good amount of time last night in downtown Naperville snapping photos from the tops of different buildings and street corners for her photography class. This photo is one that I really like because of the various colors and lighting. We shot it from the top of the new parking garage on Main & VanBuren.
The buildings on the right play host to NCC students and serve as some pretty sweet apartments (I think) for them. It also has Giordano's pizza and a wine shop below the apartments. Also featured is Ted's Montana Grill .. haven't eaten there yet, but I've heard it's pretty good. I also chose this photo to display because I liked how the horizon line is pretty clear. It doesn't really follow the rule of thirds, but I think it looks cool.
We've decided that one of our Christmas gifts to ourselves this year is going to be a nice camera like the one we have on loan right now from Dina Kwit -- the photographer for the Chicago Bandits. The model we've been using is the Canon RebelXT EOS. It's a blast to just go out and shoot photos, quickly becoming a great hobby.
